Printing Open Access Cornwall

Our Printmaking Days are run to enable those attending longer courses at the art school (and previous attendees of our longer courses) to have access to printing facilities four times per year in the Print Department at Newlyn School of Art. The main printing press is a large Hunter Penrose press which was reconditioned and assembled at the art school by the renowned printing press makers; Rochat of London.

Our Printmaking Sessions are open to all levels of previous experience and enable students on our various year long courses to work under the guidance of our experienced Print Tutors Jesse Leroy Smith and Catherine Haines.

Ink and Bread and Butter paper are provided as part of the Print Day fee and a range of more professional papers such as Somerset are available to purchase at cost from the school.

We advise bringing some idea of the design you would like to work from on the day.

On these sessions students use the drypoint card we supply to do monoprinting on the day.

Arrival at 9.50 for a 10am start. Day ends at 4pm.

Please bring a packed lunch and old clothes that you are happy to get ink on.

£49 for the day. Please call the art school or use the Contact Us Form to enquire about booking a place. We advise booking early as these places are likely to fill up well ahead.

Upcoming Printmaking Days are on the following dates:

Monday 13th February, 2017

Friday 16th June, 2017

Monday 7th August, 2017

Monday 20th November, 2017
