This fast-paced three-day course is an exciting immersion into the possibilities of combining a wide variety of painting and drawing media with a bold approach to depicting the human form.
Contemporary artist Rob Unett is a dynamic tutor, encouraging participants to explore and create a personal visual language in mark-making, before beginning to creatively respond to the human form through a series of short and sustained, clothed and nude poses. Experimentation is encouraged, with students working across many different types of papers and sketchbooks to capture thoughts, marks and observations.
Traditional techniques will be challenged by modern approaches to discover new colours, textures, shapes, light and aesthetics. We will build a body of work that, during a period of group reflection, will open up new areas of opportunity and wonder in our practice.
