This four-day mixed media coastal landscape painting course helps students gain an understanding of the fundementals of landscape painting and gives students the opportunity to paint alongside respected coastal painter Imogen Bone at a number of dramatic cliff-top locations for which West Cornwall is renowned.
An experienced and engaging tutor, Imogen shares her in-depth knowledge of how to capture the atmosphere of the Cornish coastline with a broad range of water-based media, such as acrylic and watercolour pastels. Sketches and studies created on location may be brought back to the studio to be worked up into paintings.
Based mainly outdoors, this hands-on painting course is informative, expressive and inspiring and is aimed at those who would like to get to grips with really understanding the building blocks of landscape painting with acrylics and mixed media outdoors.
A reasonable level of fitness is required for this course, as you may be required to walk 1 mile on uneven coastal paths to get to the best painting locations, from the minibus drop-off points.
