Life Drawing Session No.31

In this session, Jon shows how basic shapes can help us begin a drawing of the figure. By using straight lines to indicate the position of the skeletal structure, it’s possible to then build on the outline by using more contoured lines to show the muscles, and two-tone ink washes to create a 3D form.

Tutor:
Jon Doran

Materials used on this course:

This session with Jon Doran will require some normal pencils, black ink or watered-down black paint, a fairly small brush and some basic paper. If you don't have all of these, you can still get a lot out of the session.
