Focusing on the head, shoulders and torso, he begins with a discipline to nudge us out of familiar and comfortable drawing techniques by encouraging unconventional mark-making.

This session with artist Jesse Leroy Smith will use white and black chalk/compressed charcoal, rubber, any kind of charcoal or conte crayon, 2 sheets of charcoaled paper, cloth. However, you don’t need all of these to still get a lot out of the session.
