Life Drawing Session No.54

Kate shares insights into her own practice and how she makes use of sketchbooks. She explains the importance of releasing ourselves from the constraints of a photographic likeness to enjoy the distortions of a drawing.

Materials used on this course:

This session with artist Kate Walters will use small sketchbook or loose paper, A2 or larger cartridge paper, pencil or graphite stick, willow charcoal, veg oil or linseed oil, one of the following: watercolour stick/watercolour pencil/oil pastel, oil bar. Yellow or brown ink. Indian ink or any black ink or watered down black acrylic, 2 pots of water, wide flat brush and small flat brush. However you don't need all of these to still get a lot out of the session.
