THE CORNISH LANDSCAPE

The Cornish Landscape, taught by artist Maggie O'Brien is an incredibly useful and inspiring online course for anyone who would like to free up their approach to landscape painting. With a host of exercises demonstrated and outlined for the participant to use, the course gives a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the most experienced coastal painters working in Cornwall today. Maggie guides you on how to work from the many looped film clips of the dramatic Cornish coastline provided with the course. The exercises encourage a free and expressive approach to painting. Maggie is the most positive and generous of teachers making everything seem possible and helping students to approach new ways of working from the landscape with a very hands on and raw approach to painting. Maggie uses mixed media and oil paints on the course but the teaching and exercises would all also be applicable for acrylics rather than oils should any participants prefer.

The course is pre-recorded so that you can take your time to really absorb the wealth of advice, practical exercises and demonstrations throughout the course. We advise spending around 3-4 days working your way through the course. You have unlimited access to the course for 12 months.

Simply click on the link we send you in your purchase confirmation email from which you can play the main course film and also see the accompanying coastal landscape looped films which you can paint from.
