Daniel Turner

Dan is one of the artists who exhibits in our annual fundraiser and you will find him as a guest tutor across our Year-Long courses.

Daniel Turner is a studio-based artist specialising in painting and drawing. Derived from a wide array of sources, Daniel’s work is a thematic exploration of both the physical nature of the painting and the often mythologised tasks and rituals of Painters. Daniel describes his work as a visual travelogue - a record of his travails, his ever-changing thoughts and feelings regarding the nature of Painter, Painting, and Studio.

Daniel has exhibited in group shows nationally and internationally. His most recent solo exhibition, The Paint Club, at Newlyn Art Gallery in 2022/23 with an accompanying book published by Antler Press, text by Kate Reeve-Edwards.
